CAD Technician/Draughtsperson

Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment company based in Norfolk. We are working with our client who are market leaders in Commercial vehicle aerodynamics. This role offers an amazing opportunity to join a growing business, who is investing in the future and be part of a close-knit, fast paced environment – Producing FRP parts of Market leading quality.

The successful candidate must have previous experience in using AutoCAD Inventor software (or similar), with a good working knowledge of CAD drawings and models. The ability to produce 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacture alongside the reverse Engineering of current products. Experience of 3D scanning and printing for prototyping would also be advantageous.

The successful candidate will ideally possess previous experience in a similar role, effective task and time management, communication skills and with excellent attention to detail.

Essential Attributes:

·        Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering qualifications.

·        Experience using AutoCAD inventor or other 3D software and a good working knowledge of CAD Drawings/models.

·        Ability to understand & interpret engineering drawings.

·        Can communicate project information & aims clearly & appropriately to engineers & production staff.

·        Forward thinking & readiness to explore new materials or methods to drive for improved outcomes.

Desirable Experience:

·         Engineering composites & composite manufacturing processes.

·         Manufacturing database systems (bills of materials, process routings).

·         Understanding of engineering/technical/manufacturing costing methods.

·         Experience in 3D scanning.

·         Experience in 3D printing. 

In return we are offering a competitive salary (based on experience)  Variable company Sales bonus (On completion of probation) for 40hrs per week, along with 28 days paid holiday per year.
