My client is a local based manufacturer in Norfolk which supplies control and safety solutions for complex and critical applications across a variety of industry sectors These include:
Control & Safety Systems
They have a current opportunity for a Technical Sales/Proposals Engineer to pro-actively promote the company within the identified markets by providing Technical Sales support for new business opportunities. Preparing detailed proposals, supported as necessary by the engineering department.
Specific responsibilities include:
Generate high quality technical & commercial proposals and pre-qualifications
To prepare bids, tenders and technical solutions supported by the engineering team as appropriate
Establish and maintain relationships with customers and partner organisations
Liaison with the Engineering team to establish and promote best fit proposals
Gather intelligence on customers and competitors and support the assessment of market opportunities and target markets
To travel when required to do so throughout the UK and overseas
The ideal candidate will possess a Technical/Engineering background with an Engineering HND/Degree or comparable experience The successful candidate will have the ability to interpret clients requirements and realise them into control system offerings, typically based around common PLC platforms (Siemens, Rockwell,)
Experience in holding a customer facing role within a control system’s integrator for the energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, nuclear, utility or power generation industry is preferable along with experience of CRM based software. Previous sales team experience with proven track record of results driven success is also required.
Candidates should possess a flexible attitude to UK and overseas travel with a valid UK Passport and driving licence as some travel will be part of the role
