Job Title: Contracts Engineer
Location; Thetford
Salary: Depends Upon Experience

Technique Recruitment Solutions are currently working with a prestigious company based in the Thetford area who are on the lookout for a Contracts Engineer.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all disciplines associated with the day to day project management of customer orders, typically on larger value contracts along with all general functions supporting our product offering.

Main Duties:
• Communicate to/with customers maintaining regular dialogue advising current status, requesting any additional information relating to the customer order
• Raising project files and updating throughout the project life span
• Checking terms and conditions of supply and resolving any issues with the client
• Review quotations, technical submittals, and/or drawings associated with customer orders to verify requirements
• Raise sales orders and input product codes with reference to manufacture
• Liaise with planning, production and logistics for continuity of order work flow meeting customer expectations
• Coordinate free issue component scheduling
• Liaise and work closely with External Sales team and other associated colleagues
• Undertake external site visits as required in order to obtain information to allow quotation and obtainment input to be fulfilled
• Coordination of special product requirements with Design and Configuration teams
• Maintain accurate minutes and project records
• Maintain customer compliance procedure
• Maintain accurate log of value of orders loaded for each order/project and ensure variation / amendment order coverage where required
• Arrange site works and/or commissioning where required
• Manage and handle customer complaints in accordance with company procedure maintaining a high level of customer service
• Arrange for relevant company representation to attend site when necessary
• Raise any free of charge orders where necessary
• Raise credit requests when necessary
• Raise quotations for additional equipment and/or services on order/project where necessary with support from Estimating and/or Service

Qualifications
• Degree/HNC or equivalent experience in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering

Experience:
Experience of working in a high-pressured environment with tight deadlines
Experience of working with ERP systems
Commercially aware
Knowledge of  operating procedures, order and quote processing (Infor LN & CRM System), monthly forecasting spread sheets, purchasing procedure, project handover, specification/order sheets, terms and conditions, customer complaints
To understand internal departments functions and responsibilities
To be able to understand onerous contractual clauses and potential issues on-site
• An understanding of site works, commissioning, sub-contracts, and health and safety
