Project Engineer

Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment specialist working closely with our Norwich based client who are seeking a Project Engineer to join their  growing team

The role of the Project Engineer is, to bridge the boundaries between engineering, project management, technical disciplines, & those who contribute to the building of structures & products. The project engineer has joint responsibility with the Project Manager for delivering a project. The project engineer is the primary point of contact for the client on technical issues.

The role responsibilities (but not limited to):

Deliver the assigned projects on time and to cost.
Develop knowledge, which is subsequently embedded within the process & knowledge systems to continuously improve & inform decision making.
Assist in internal process development, identifying and removing waste / non-value added activities.
Embrace the Company’s digital delivery tools, interrogate & innovate design processes.
Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Business Assurance Standards in all relevant reporting, documentation, record keeping and procedures.
Possess strong and effective inter-personal & communication skills & the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and personnel.
Attend customer’s sites whenever required, upholding the Company’s Culture and Values.
Knowledge of design, manufacture, installation, testing & commissioning requirements.
Knowledge of software authoring & control.


Proven previous professional experience of engineering projects within a technical environment.
CAD skills (2D AutoCAD), 3D Autodesk Inventor or equivalent.
Technical report writing.
Commercial awareness.
Health & Safety awareness.
An excellent working knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
Excellent IT skills – including, but not limited to, Word Processing, Spreadsheets & Databases.
Knowledge/Experience of Site based activities (Mechanical & Electrical).
Educated to a minimum of an HNC mechanical or electrical (or equivalent) in an engineering or science discipline.
