Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist engineering and manufacturing recruitment company located in Norfolk. We are working with a local manufacturer who has a new opportunity for a Service Manager based in Norfolk
Our client is one of the UK’s leading providers of high quality cleaning equipment and products and is well regarded across its customer base, having grown and developed from its initial establishment in 1983.
It designs and manufactures its own range of high pressure water washers; water jetting equipment and permanently installed factory hygiene systems. There are two further divisions specialising in brewery equipment and bin washing equipment

MAIN REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
The principal function of the Service Manager is to lead the Company’s service department at Acle, between Norwich and Great Yarmouth, providing support, repair and maintenance services to customers across the full range of cleaning equipment and machinery.

Reporting to the Managing Director, with close links to the Sales Director, the job involves:-
Full responsibility for the effective, efficient and profitable operation of the Service Department.
Organisation and management of the Service Administrator / Service Engineer team.
Ensuring the overall organisation, tidiness, safety and efficiency of the service workshop, service office, and service equipment.
Providing a high- quality service to the company’s customers, achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
Further development of customer relationships with a wide range of customers including blue-chip and SME’s across the Food Manufacturing, Commercial Cleaning, General Industrial and Agricultural sectors.
Developing and delivering a service department growth and profitability strategy in agreement with the Directors.
Agreeing and delivering on a relevant set of KPIs with the Directors.
Completing and maintaining supporting documentation
Working closely with other company staff at Acle and other company branches to provide a high- quality service to customers.
Working within, and assisting to further develop, the Company’s combined Quality and Environmental Management systems (QMS/EMS)
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a small team.
Ability to prioritise and self-manage

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
An interest and aptitude toward all things mechanical/electrical, ideally with knowledge of cleaning equipment and machines including pressure washers, floor care equipment and engine driven plant.
Proven experience in people management
Relevant mechanical/electrical qualifications
Understanding of drawings and written instructions.
Fully IT and computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Office programs and job – specific software such as Opera and Empathy
Preferably a relevant health and safety qualification: CSCS; “Working Safely”, or similar.
A full driving licence.
