Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment company working with our client, who are one of the UK`s largest specialist online/retailer wholesalers, based in Norwich, providing an industry leading service to their customers needs.

Position being recruited for: Stock Controller

Salary – £25,000 – £28,000 per annum starting salary.

Fulltime permanent role, 40hrs per week, Monday-Friday, flexible on working hours, between 8am to 7pm as a guide.

Purpose:

To ensure, run and manage stock accuracy and carrying out perpetual inventory counts, stock discrepancy investigation and mitigation.

Primary Objectives:

·Accurate stock holdings

·Implement the company’s stock control procedures across all sites.

·Investigating stock discrepancies, reporting findings to the Warehouse Manager, Purchasing Manager and Finance Director.

·Complete perpetual inventory counts at Central Warehouse

·Ensure physical accuracy of stock held at the Warehouse is always maintained

Key Accountabilities:

·Oversee bi-annual stocktakes across all stocking locations

·Ensure stock is allocated accurately to correct Bin ID to enable efficient picking

·Investigating stock discrepancies and providing clear and concise reasons if stock quantities require adjusting

·Report on a weekly basis on stock held in quarantine and unavailable for sale

·Monitor quality control checks within stock locations to always ensure stock integrity.

·Carrying out physical stock checks as and when required and ensure that all any stock anomalies are investigated thoroughly.

·Contribute and help implement improvements to the accuracy of stock counting

·Manage negative stock reports, working with relevant department to make necessary corrections

·Manage Goods in transit, ensuring stock is booked in on a timely basis and investigate when stock doesn’t reach location

·Manage stock discrepancies arising from goods shipped to store for central warehouse

·Work with logistics provider to investigate stock lost in when in transit to stores

·Ensuring product descriptions and barcodes are correct to mitigate against stock inaccuracy

·Ensuring all stock movements adhere to the correct processes

·Producing daily discrepancy reports

·Work with Accounts Payable on a weekly basis to ensure all booking in discrepancies are investigated within an agreed timeframe

·Carry out ad hoc stock checks at retail sites

Key Relationships:

To maintain strong working relationships with all departments including Warehouse, Retail, Purchasing and Finance.

Experience and Qualifications:

·Previous experience in a senior stock control role is essential

·Able to work in a methodical, organised and tidy manner

·Ability to keep calm in a fast paced workplace

·Ability to work as part of a team is essential

·Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

·Attention to detail

·Ability to work in a team environment

·Enthusiastic and flexible working attitude
