Engineering Draughtsperson / CAD Technician
Our client manufactures a range of standard and bespoke equipment for commercial and industrial applications, designing and manufacturing products for the brewing, food, manufacturing and recycling industries. The company is innovative and carries out specialist projects from one off to major turnkey contracts.
An opportunity has arisen in their busy and expanding project engineering department to join as Engineering Draughtsperson/CAD Technician. This would suit either a draughtsperson with existing engineering/electrical knowledge and experience, or a potentially a CAD Technician looking to develop further in the engineering/manufacturing field.
The successful candidate will be producing both mechanical and electrical drawings together with schematics for hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
The job involves:-
· Assisting with the design, layout and co-ordination of new products and systems, together with the enhancement and on-going development of existing products using Autocad 2026
· Liaison with sales department and customers, understand and assimilate customers’ requirements.
· Direct interaction with the fabrication, assembly and testing of the product is encouraged
· Working within, and assisting to further develop, the Company’s combined ISO accredited Quality and Environmental Management systems (QMS/EMS).
· Helping to ensure that products and activities covered by the role are safe and legally compliant
· Surveying, design, drawing and costing of customer’s enquiries
· Production of supporting documentation
