We’ve had a brilliant few weeks here at Technique. From meeting familiar faces (and some new ones!) at the Royal Norfolk Show to supporting clients with seasonal hiring needs, it’s been full steam ahead.
Summer often brings fresh energy into the job market, so it’s been go, go, go for our team, but we continue to prioritise screen breaks and fresh air, especially in the sunshine. Make sure you’re doing this, too!

All hands on deck for the Royal Norfolk Show!
It was our second year exhibiting at the Royal Norfolk Show, and it was a blast! The sun was shining, and we were lucky to meet many of you at our stand.
The highest score on our game, Marble Madness, was an incredible 109! (To put this into perspective, the top score in the office was 73, after many trial runs.)

Flaunting our tennis skills
Jenny and Georgia attended this month’s Buy Local Norfolk networking event, held at East Anglia Tennis & Squash Club. Sporting our new Technique t-shirts, they put their tennis skills to the test.
We think this is our favourite kind of networking!
And finally, we had three birthday celebrations!
There were several birthdays at Technique HQ this month! Vicky, Georgia and Ellie celebrated their birthday in June and had the perfect weather to enjoy a day out!
Recruitment Insights – CV mistakes we see every week (and how to fix them) 💡
We review hundreds of CV’s each week, so hear us out.
Small tweaks to your CV can make all the difference. These mistakes are the most common, but the good news? They are easy to fix:
- Not updated! We often see CV’s missing new roles or skills. Make sure it’s always up to date with your recent experience.
- No contact information. This one is important! Email addresses and phone numbers are perfect.
- Generic job responsibility descriptions. Don’t just tell us what you did, show us what you achieved! Include numbers, highlight improvements and explain what you learned.
- No personal profile. Don’t miss your chance to stand out! Tell us about yourself in the first 3 lines and make an impact

The busy summer season will continue throughout July, keeping us on our toes…
but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
